Program description

CENPROMYPE, ASEGUA, Bridge for Billions, and CAPCA have joined forces to increase investment literacy, raise awareness of financing opportunities and provide ongoing structured support for entrepreneurs in the acceleration stage. A stage in which entrepreneurs often lack the entrepreneurial skills and access to social capital necessary to grow their businesses.

Our acceleration program will train, mentor, and coach 70 impact entrepreneurs, owners of micro, small or medium-sized businesses in Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras in the process of growth and/or restructuring.

We are looking for entrepreneurs operating in the Republic of Belize, the Republic of Guatemala, and the Republic of Honduras in order to accelerate the social impact and economic growth of these countries through entrepreneurship.

How do you know if your project has an impact?

Social impact is the change experienced by individuals, groups, or communities as a result of the development of a specific activity, project, program, or policy that affect human conditions in the long term. These changes can be produced directly or indirectly by an intervention.

Something that businesses with positive impact have in common is that they are created to solve a really important problem that affects people’s lives.

What problem does your business project solve?

Our methodology

The Bridge for Billions methodology is based on the development or restructuring of a business plan while you, as an entrepreneur, are surrounded by a supportive community. Our 100% online business modules will allow you to experiment, research and document your ideas step by step so that at the end of the program they can have a validated business plan. At the same time, you will receive the support of your personalized mentor and a team of entrepreneurship experts who will accompany you on a weekly basis throughout the program.

Thanks to our partners in this program and in order to increase the quality of entrepreneurial training in Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras, we also provide investment readiness workshops, additional resources, networking events, and much more!

Frequently Asked Questions

The more time you are able to dedicate, the better the results you will get. We have structured the program so that you can complete all the activities in 6-8 hours a week, including a one-hour video call with your mentor and participation in the workshops. If you cannot commit to at least 6 hours a week for 4-5 months, this may not be the program for you.

Nothing! This is a free program funded by Cenpromype.

You must be able to use a laptop or desktop computer (not a tablet or cell phone) and preferably one of these browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox. We expect you to have a powerful and reliable Internet connection both for your weekly review on the platform and to participate in the calls with your mentor via videocalls.

Of course! Our program is made to collaborate with your entire team. You can easily invite your teammates to join your project and collaborate seamlessly in its development.

You can work at the same time as a teammate, but keep in mind, however, that our platform does not allow live collaboration like with Google Docs – you will only see a teammate’s edits after refreshing the page and you must be careful not to “override” each other’s entries.

We hope our reputation speaks for itself in this matter. We treat your application and program data as confidential information. They are protected by our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, and your mentor will also sign a Mentoring Agreement that includes a confidentiality clause.

Your mentor is your guide throughout the program, someone who understands the ins and outs of your business. Week after week, your mentor will help you validate your strategy and design your growth plan. Mentors support you inside the platform and meet with you once a week outside the platform (usually via video calls).
