About the program

Through the program, we are looking for experienced volunteer mentors to guide the next generation of entrepreneurs in the fair energy transition. This program is not just about building successful businesses; it is about driving positive environmental and social impact. We seek mentors passionate about clean energy, circular economy, and resource conservation to support entrepreneurs working on solutions for equitable access to sustainable energy.

During the 5 months of the programme, your role will be fundamental to:

Build Sustainable Futures: Your mentorship will help develop business leaders who drive inclusive, clean energy innovations for underserved communities.

Are you ready to be a mentor?
All you need are the following requirements:

Be enthusiastic about the idea of supporting entrepreneurs on their way to success.
At least 5 years of post-academic work experience. We particularly value experience in sustainability issues, but this is not exclusive.
Be able to dedicate 4 months.
Have a computer and stable internet access to ensure smooth and effective communication.
You speak Spanish, English or Portuguese.

Confirmation of selected profiles

April 4th

We will review the completed applications through a selection process and select 60 mentors for this first edition of the program. Once you are selected, you must immediately accept your participation.

Participate in the welcome session

April 7th

We will invite you to participate in an informative welcome session for the mentorship program. In this session, we will discuss your role as a mentor, best practices for guiding entrepreneurs, the use of support tools, and other key resources to maximize your impact in the program.

Choose your entrepreneur

Second week of April

Participate in our matching process! You will have the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs from our Community who you believe will best fit with you. Once you have met several entreprneus, both you and they will send your preferences to let us know who you want to work with and we will make the best teams.

Start the incubation program

April 22nd - August 10th

Begin the online incubation experience by guiding entrepreneurs through mentorship sessions, work tools, and structured development. As a mentor, you will support them over four months as they refine their ideas, overcome challenges, and develop a validated business plan.

As a mentor, you will support entrepreneurs throughout the 4-month program, helping them refine key aspects of their business—from sharpening their value proposition to developing a clear growth plan.
Entrepreneurs will work weekly with their personal mentor in one-on-one sessions to review the 8 business modules, receiving guidance and feedback to strengthen their business strategy.
Mentors will guide entrepreneurs in finalizing the program with a solid business plan and executive summary, preparing them to present their venture to investors and other stakeholders.

FAQs about the program

How much time should I devote to the programme if I am a mentor?

During the duration of the programme, you will have to meet once a week with your entrepreneur for 1-hour mentoring meetings. In addition to that, we recommend you always dedicate at least 30 additional minutes to review and validate progress on the platform, and attend the meetings prepared.

This time investment will be necessary during the 5 months of the programme, ensuring that you get the most out of this learning and growth experience.

Will I receive any monetary compensation?

Although we do not offer monetary compensation, you will receive something invaluable: the satisfaction of making a real difference in the lives of entrepreneurs and their communities. In addition, in recognition of your dedication and contribution, we will award you a Mentoring Certificate at the end of the programme. This certificate symbolises not only your generosity and commitment, but also the positive impact you have made as a mentor.

What materials do I need for the program?

We recommend you to have a laptop or desktop computer and preferably one of these browsers: Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox. However, our platform is also mobile-friendly.

We also expect you to have a stable and reliable internet connection both for your weekly review on the platform and to participate in video calls with your mentor.

Can I mentor more than one project?

Sure! Our program is designed to collaborate with your entire team. You can easily invite your team members to join your project and collaborate seamlessly on its development. You can work alongside a team member, but keep in mind that our platform does not allow live collaboration like with Google Docs (you will only see a team member’s edits after refreshing the page and you need to be careful not to “overwrite” each other’s inputs).

Can my partner or teammate work with me on the project?

To facilitate the process of connecting mentors and entrepreneurs, we have created a matching process.

In due course, you will have the opportunity to meet the different projects and invite them to a ‘Virtual Café’ to get to know the ideas in detail, and then both parties can decide if they want to work together. In this way, we ensure that we create strong, long-lasting mentoring relationships based on mutual interest.
