The Restoration Factory is a six-month digital business incubation program designed to support the emergence of commercially viable, community-inclusive, and climate-resilient businesses with the potential to restore natural ecosystems and preserve landscapes in Ghana.
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Bridge for Billions, along with the support of FFF, have joined forces to create an incubation program that will support up to 20 enterprises with the potential to restore natural ecosystems in Ghana. The Restoration Factory has been created to support the emergence of commercially-viable, community-inclusive, and climate-resilient businesses that restore ecosystems and preserve landscapes.
The program seeks to attract projects that show robust revenue generation perspectives and ambition to reach a critical mass.
We aim to build a diverse and attractive cohort demonstrating the commercial potential and wide adoption of nature-positive business models.
This program targets entrepreneurs operating in Ghana, within the macro sectors of Forest Restoration and Landscape Conservation. Key subsectors of focus include:

The Ghana Federation of Forest and Farm Producers (GhaFFaP) is a network in Ghana that unites small-scale forest and farm producers to promote sustainable livelihoods, environmental stewardship, and economic resilience. Established to empower local farmers, GhaFFaP supports its members by providing training, advocacy, and access to resources that enhance sustainable land management and forest conservation. The federation emphasizes climate-resilient practices and helps producers access markets, improve product value, and increase incomes. Through collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations, GhaFFaP aims to strengthen the voice of smallholder producers, ensure equitable policy support, and foster sustainable rural development across Ghana.
About KoKoopa
KoKoopa Farmers Association is a collective of smallholder farmers in Ghana focused on sustainable agriculture, economic empowerment, and food security. Located in regions with high agricultural potential, the association provides members with resources, training, and support to improve crop yields, enhance food quality, and adopt environmentally friendly farming practices. By pooling resources, Kookopa enables farmers to access better market opportunities, achieve fair pricing, and invest in modern agricultural tools. The association also plays a key role in community development by fostering resilience in agriculture and promoting self-sufficiency, aiming to improve the livelihoods of its members and contribute to the broader economic growth of rural Ghana.
The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration aims to prevent, halt and reverse the degradation of ecosystems on every continent and in every ocean. It can help to end poverty, combat climate change and prevent mass extinction.

The Restoration Factory is a mentoring and business incubation support program that assists entrepreneurs in developing enticing and attractive business models focused on the landscapes and ecosystems restoration.
We are now during the selection process, this means that out of all the applications we received from both entrepreneurs and mentors we will select the program participants.
Entrepreneurs offer solutions in the following sectors: goods (high-value crops and ingredients used for medicinal purposes, vegetation and livestock products, and upcycling of waste), and services (watershed services and ecotourism).
