About the Restoration Factory Tanzania program

The Vice President’s Office of Tanzania, in collaboration with the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), with technical support from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Bridge for Billions, is implementing “ The “Restoration Factory” business Incubation Program under the global program, The Restoration Initiative (TRI). 

Program scope

This program aims to support enterprises within the macro sectors of Forest Restoration and Landscape Conservation. Key subsectors include, but are not limited to:

  • Sustainable Timber Harvesting and Processing
  • Watershed Protection
  • Soil and Land Management and Conservation
  • Agroforestry: Integrating trees and shrubs into agricultural systems for both environmental and economic benefits
  • Ecotourism
  • Tree Nurseries
  • Beekeeping
  • Wildlife Habitat Restoration
  • Environmental Education and Training
  • Community-Based Natural Resource Management and so on.

Entrepreneurship program
From April 29th until August 29th
The online incubation experience begins! From here you'll dive into weekly mentoring sessions, use the practical tools in our digital platform, and follow our entrepreneurship step-by-step plan. You will have 5 months to complete all the modules and develop your business plan.
